R.I.P. Donna 1949-1968"  

Mixed Media using pencil drawing transfer from an inkjet print, stabilo pencil, marker, acrylics, stencil, and paper on 8" x 10" stretched canvas.

"When the moon is in the Seventh House, And Jupiter aligns with Mars, Then peace will guide the planets, And love will steer the stars. Harmony and understanding, Sympathy and trust abounding, No more falsehoods or derisions, Golden living dreams of visions, Mystic crystal revelation, And the mind's true liberation, Aquarius, Aquarius..." 

The song "Aquarius" became a big hit after 1968, when the musical Hair, originally produced in the East Village at the Public Theater, opened on Broadway. Hair ran at the  Biltmore Theater for 1,873 performances. "Aquarius" was recorded by funk and soul group The Fifth Dimension in 1969. Writers of Hair: James Rado, Gerome Ragni.
