Mixed Media: Our Lady of Lost Cats

I spent Christmas of 2014 with two new friends: a dog from Mongolia named Tsas and a yellow kitten named Max.

I have memorialized Tsas pretty extensively in drawings and mixed media at other spots on this blog.

Today I am remembering Max. R.I.P.

I made the painting "Our Lady of Lost Cats" later that winter, 2014, after Max went missing and perished. I haven't changed the original basic elements in the painting--our lady cupping Max in her right hand and holding a cell phone in her left. I have added color, definition, and decorative tape.

Here's a link to some other primitive paintings I made around 2010.
