Collage of a mixed media and papercraft primitive portrait of Daphne Caruana Galizia of Malta (12-1/2" x 11" mixed media paper framed in gift wrap paper mounted on cardboard.) Media include marker, color crayon, gel pen, color pencil, embellishment with foil stars. Thematic elements include the Maltese rock centaury flower bouquet, the gold mural crown, olive branches, and the ribbon of Malta. A brief biographical sketch of Caurana Galizia is printed on the handmade tag. A reuseable silicone gel pad on the back will hold the picture to a painted wall. This was an early papercraft project of mine following the assassination of Caruana Galizia which I hung on my wall for awhile. There is a barely visible tear in the paper toward bottom right corner of dress.
