Mixed Media: My cats Mabel & Ady

Collage composed from a mixed media miniature of my cat Mabel and me (2-1/2" x 3-1/2") and a mixed media papercraft silhouette-style portrait of my cat Ady (11" x 14") on paper. 

Mini of Mabel and me was made using an inkjet print of a self-portrait photo. The print is tinted with color pencil and decoupaged to double-layer cardstock with doily and decorative paper cutouts.

The large portrait is based in an original drawing. The silhouette and background were made with watercolor pencils. 

Mabel is 13-1/2 and has been with me 13 years. She was diagnosed with diabetes in October 2016. Ady turns 9 this summer. At 6 weeks old, she was found under the hood of a truck. She has lived with us ever since.
